Far be it from me to trot out the old chestnut about politicians being fickle, but when it comes to gambling those B.C Liberals have performed the sort of U-turn Lewis Hamilton would be proud of. It’s not so much the fact that they have adopted a pro-gambling approach – by for example increasing the weekly internet betting limit on the B.C. Lotteries online gambling site from $120 to $9,999 a week or by throwing them a $347m bone – it’s the fact that once upon a time they accused gambling for being resposible for the death of children.
