One day you’re a fresh-faced freshman at a college TV station, next day you are – and will be for eternity – the Boom Goes The Dynamite guy. The Get A Brain Morans redneck is another example of (extremely) ordinary Joes achieving internet immortality. But the relentless tide of fresh content means that some forms of internet popularity aren’t as durable; for instance, does anyone really think we’ll still be watching the OMG Cat in another week? Unlike, say, Bodog Poker’s Patrik Selin, who penned an op-ed on eGamingReview almost two weeks ago that is still #1 on the ‘Most Popular Story’ rankings. Brace yourself, Patrik: the next time your phone rings, it could be your invitation to appear on Dancing With The Stars.
