Last week we reported how the UK is beginning to clamp down on gambling advertising and now the killjoys have struck again. This time Paddy Power are playing the unfamiliar role of hapless victims, although they would have known they were sailing close to the wind when deciding to film a TV ad in which four lads in wheelchairs do a runner from a curry house. It’s part of a series of ads in which a Paddy Power rep steps in to an awkward situation and tries to console the central character with a money-back special.
