Rank Group proposes 15% flat tax on UK betting

NoMathThe UK’s Chancellor of the Exchequer Alistair Darling has had difficulties keeping his MP expense claims figures straight, so the Rank Group wants to help him simplify some of his other calculations. The firm has issued a call for the UK government to scrap its current range of seven different tax rates for betting and gaming companies, replacing it with a single flat 15% rate. Rank also posted its 2009 year end results, which show the company performing marginally better than market expectations. Read more.
