China claims 900 arrests in online gambling crackdown

ChineseScalesAfter announcing a crackdown on online gambling at the beginning of the month, Chinese authorities have revealed that over 900 people had been arrested so far. Not a huge number, given China’s population of 1.3 billion, but when you consider that the crackdown was scheduled to go on until August, it’s clear that there’s a lot of slack left in that noose.
