Pokerstars released statements indicating that they did not re-code credit card transactions and that they were unaffected by the latest credit card clamp down…Let me get this right, so a payment option used by hundreds of thousands of online gamers being shut down doesn’t affect business at all?     Neither the credit card companies nor anyone in the US Government thinks PokerStars is subject to different rules than everyone else in the industry. Neither of them differentiate between Poker and other forms of gambling either. If PokerStars really believe this bunk then I am laughing…but nobody else in the industry does for sure. This means that if PokerStars is saying they do not use uncoded credit card processing they are in fact lying.

    I am a huge fan of the industry and do not think that banks and card companies should play god. But I also do not think that Pokerstars lying about themselves is doing the industry any favours. Guys, your shit smells the same as everyone else in the industry.

    Agree. So sick of the holier than thou poker sites pretending they are above sports betting and acting as if poker is some how higher up the evolutionary chain than sports. It's gambling and just because poker hasn't been assaulted like sports betting has doesn't make your form of gambling better, or legal. Quit jamming me, Pokerstars!
