Gambling industry, Chen Mingliang on trialA former Chinese lawmaker and business tycoon stood trial this week for his involvement in organized crime. Chen Mingliang, 52, was arrested in June for organizing a 34-member gang that ran a brothel, trafficked drugs and organized illegal gambling tours to Macau. It’s reported that the gang made more than 58 million Hong Kong dollars helping to arrange gambling tours alone. Read more…
